CNSIS provides national security and technology policy analyses on current global security topics to enhance understanding and to support strategic planning and program development efforts across the Laboratory, and to inform policymaking in the U.S. government.
Strategic Goals
- Advise senior leadership on the strategic and policy environments in which the Lab operates
- Advise policy-makers on what may be possible and technologists on what may be desirable, thus bridging the gap between policy and technical communities
- Produce policy relevant research on issues related to the Los Alamos mission, including deterrence, arms control, nonproliferation, and national security.
